Be an Angel for a Day

From all the volunteers and residents at Serenity Pointe,
we wish you and your family a Christmas both merry and bright!

As we use this time at the end of the year to remember our blessings and give thanks, we feel even more deeply our calling to reach out to those around us. In the last twelve months, Serenity Pointe has offered hope and assistance to more than 200 people in need. We could not have done this without the guidance of our Lord – and we could not have done it without your support and generosity. We are continually amazed at the heart that this valley has for those in need. Thank you, thank you from the bottom of our hearts!

We’d like to invite you to continue your support
in 2010 by becoming an
ANGEL FOR A DAY

It costs $29 per day to house, clothe, and feed a resident at the House at Serenity Pointe. Our residents are courageous women who have made the choice to fight against addiction, leave behind abuse, and dedicate themselves to their own recovery for their own sake, for the sake of their families, and for the sake of their children. Serenity Pointe is an all-volunteer organization – your donation goes directly to supporting our residents.

You may choose any day – or days! – on the calendar that you wish. Just tell us which date you would like when you donate online at our website.

If you prefer to donate by mail, send your donation along with your name, address, telephone number, and the date (or dates!) you would like to sponsor to Serenity Pointe, P.O. Box 1929, Dunlap, TN 37327.

Our ministry has exciting things planned for 2010. We will be opening a thrift store at the old Family Dollar store in downtown Dunlap in January. The grand opening is January 28, and we’ll starting taking donations of gently used household items and clothing soon. The store will also double as a training center where we will offer various life-skills classes for the community. We also recently began our grant-funded housing rehab program, which will create more safe, affordable housing for local families. And of course, the House at Serenity Pointe will continue to provide sanctuary for women who want to leave behind the chaos of abuse and dependence. With our “angels” watching over us, we know this will be an amazing year! Come join us.
